Kill aiptasia with a laser

My CB butterfly is an aiptasia eating rascal as a matter of fact if anyone has some aiptasia covered rock.........but I have to wonder if the laser works on xenia? that stuff is harder to get rid of then aiptasia [smilie=rofl.gif]

It's a pretty long thread but some people have mentioned using it on snails and other undesirables.

I assume if it can heat it, it will kill it.

First fish I add to any reef tank I set up is an Auriga butterfly so we have never had an aiptasia or majano issue (have never noticed any of them eating other corals ) so other than the geek factor of just wanting to see for myself if this actually works I can't really justify the couple of hundred bucks for the laser.

But I want one anyway.

Already ordered my father's day present ( finally ordered "Aquatic Systems Engineering: Devices and How They Function" book), but our annivesary (number 38) is just around the corner. One of these might go to the top of the wish list.

But I still want one of these -- http://www.makerbot.com/blog/2012/01/09/introducing-the-makerbot-replicator/
and one of these http://www.cncmasters.com/index.php?page=cnc-jr-table-top-mill
and one of these http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/street/
and ...........

decisions, decisions, decisions
