This is in my frag tank, I remove it manually but it grows really quick. I use GFO an Ro/DI water. Put almost no nutients in the water. It is not in my main tank. It looks red on the outside like cyno but the base is tan like something I have never seen.

Pink Cotton Candy algae. It's very hard to beat, and even as you remove it manually it can break up and land elsewhere. The huge Mexican Turbo Snails are the best choice at your disposal, as they will devour it.

Asparagopsis taxiformis. You can also search Falkenbergia hillebrandii. First I heard of it was late 2002 and have only had to battle it once back in 04. As Marc stated your best bet is going to be Pacific (often sold as Mexican) Turbo Snails (Turbo fluctuosa). If you try these make sure you manually remove as much of the algae as possible before introducing the snails. Best I can recall in 04 I used 2 large snails in a heavily overgrown 29 gal, took them a couple of weeks to get it under control.
