how to seal off a bulkhead

I want to remove a pipe from my sump that is below water level. What is the best way to seal off the bulkhead?

you can do it one of two ways, the easiest is to just cap off the pvc coming out of the bulkhead but if you could also buy some acrylic and just glue it over the hole using weld on.

Thanks, I think I'll just cap the tube in case I ever want to use that hole again. I hoped someone just made a solid version that replaced the inner part of the bulkhead.

You can screw in a solid plug, assuming the bulkhead is threaded internally. Use lots of teflon tape.
