how do feather dusters reproduce??

we have a feather duster which has grown nicely since we got him. we had him setting in a rock and it was time to move him to his new tank across the room. after moving him we found another huge feather inside that same rock... attached to the rock we couldnt move him. is there any way to move him from this rock?? this rock has to stay in my husband's tank. will a lion or puffer eat him?? how do they reproduce? i have no idea where this duster came from. i didnt even know he was there.


maybe this should be moved to inverts. sry

A puffer will more than likely munch on te featherduster. I had a lil' spotted puffer in my first tank and put a featherduster in there.....you woulda thought the dinner bell rang because it went straight for it and started ripping the tube apart. I learned an expensive lesson that day. :lol:
