My daughter broke this thermometer on the rim of my tank. Not sure if any of the beads in the bottom got into the tank.

The tank is still trying to cycle so no livestock is in the tank, should I tear it down and start over or will it be ok?

Get a net and scoop up the sand where it broke. The sand should be small enough to fall thru the netting but if there are beads they should say in the net.

Maybe this is a sign that a 7.5g sps tank should be bare bottom

Your link doesn't work for me, but you could also try a magnet over that area if the beads are steel.

Easier to do it now then when it is stocked.
