Halide bulb selection help

Hi guys and gals ... in the market for a 15K-20K double ended halide bulb ... looking for good growth but better colors with sps growth ... I was looking at the ushio 20K but, I wanted to get some input from everyone - thanks.
 
are the PAR values better for the Phoenix over the Ushio? I was under the potential misunderstanding that it was hard to beat the quality of Ushio bulbs
 
I'm not sure in par. I can tell you that the Phoenix 250 de is a very popular bulb. To me ushio run more yellow then other bulbs. I've run 14k uushio before never 20k. I've used the Phoenix for a long long time now and like it.
 
What wattage are you using? When I ran halides I liked the Phoenix 250watt 14k bulb but the 150watt put off a totally different color. The best bulb I ever ran was the Aqualine AB 13k bulb. My sps seemed to really respond to it. They are expensive, though they seem to have come down in price in the last few years. I used to have to pay around $115 for them.
