gutloading brine and mysis

So, for a while now i've been hatching mysis and brine, and feeding them both spirulina pellets and phyto plankton, befor efeeding them to my fish. I recently noticed that the brine I was "gutloading" with spirulina looked nothing like the frozen brine I buy that are "spirulina enriched". They're stomachs are MUCH more pronounced green.

What's the most "correct" way to gutload?

Feed 'em or soak 'em.

Actually, I just catch 30 or so from my sump and put them by themsleves in a small tank with some rubble and let them go at it. Gotta be quick on the feeding though, or they start to predate on each other. It doesn't make a lot, but I only feed them about once a week, 4 days after I feed frozen mysis. Keeps things interesting in the tank, as the fish never know what they'll be getting for dinner, be it flake, pellet, freeze dried, frozen, or live.
