Getting snails off glass? - Need to put them in a different tank

[What's the trick to getting snails off the glass so I can put them in a different tank? I need to move them so I can clean the current tank up and drill it and such. I gave a little tug and they sure aren't coming off that way! heh

Any advice is appriciated!

[Tug harder If that dont work you can put your finger on the soft underside and they will usually let go.]

[I slide them along the glass a bit then then tend to let go or they become easier to pull off.]

Actually, I just pull on them gently and then give them the idea that I'm not going to give up. Within a few seconds they usually let go.]
