I just purchased a generator and I'm looking at purchasing a generator transfer switch kit.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this.
I bought a Westinghouse 7,500-Watt generator. My panel box is in the garage and I was thinking about getting a transfer switch that would allow for the plug to be on the other side of the wall on the brick side. This would allow me put my generator on the dog run in some type of shed that would allow me to build some type of waterproof shed to house/vent/etc.
I want to try to make this as dummy proof that if the power does go out while we're out of town a neighbor is able to go through minimal steps to get the generator going.
