Fire place?

An open fireplace (wood burning) had been known to drive up co2 (thus lowering ph) but nothing else I've heard of.

During really cold nights we burn our fireplace located in the family room where both our reef tanks are also located and never had any problems. In fact there is a fire right now. Fireplaces do a reall good job of sucking the air out of the house. Up with the smoke so to speak there could be some CO2 in the room early in the morning after the updraft goes away.
