Dying Rock

I just set up my 125g tank, with about 150lb of live rock from an old tank. Alot of the coralline is dying off. The final product of the cycle , nitrite, is still present. Is there anything i can do in order to ensure that the rock does not become complete void of color?? And once the cycle is completely what is the best way to stimulate the growth of the coralline, beside time?

Once the cycle is complete and you have good water and lights the Coralline will color back up fairly quickly. Just make sure you have proper Ca. Also higher Alk and Ca settings make it grow faster.

Add some calcium hydroxide (lime) to keep up the calcium level. I wonder where you can find some free lime. Check out the member forum. 8)
