I'm pretty certain that you can drill the BACK of the tank, but not necessarily the bottom. I think the bottom might be tempered glass.
Also, a 5" hole? I have to ask... what are you planning on doing with it?
Search forum for (Heavily modified bio cube.) Guy has drilled it twice has one of the most expensive biocube I've ever seen I can't find link but if search doesn't work follow the road map below
