am i correct in my thinking that the distilled water I'm using for my tank contains no chlorine?

I use it for emergencies. No chlorine, I use it like it is.

thanks, i was using it thinking it didn't have chlorine and I'm adding some snails today. I thought I better ask just to make sure.

Do you know what kind of catcher they use to capture the water vapor?

If they use the common copper catcher instead of the more costly heat resistant plastic, then you may want to look for a different source of water.

It should not be big deal right now, but over years and years, this can add up to an unbalanced and relatively substantial level of copper.
