Crushed limestone

i think i thought the same thing when i was rinseing it out but dont think it looks gray in the tank, i will say rinse rinse rinse and when u think your done rinse some more :) i put it in 5 gal bucket and only rinsed a half bucket at a time.

i just got a yellow head sleeper goby and he is kicking this stuff up a lot, i think it might have something to do with it being pulverized limestone? maybe i didnt rinse it enough

it is definately gray, but only really noticeable if you already have other sand in there. i didnt even notice the difference until i put both in one tank. in this horrible pic, lol, you can clearly see the difference.

Cool, it's for my Banggai tank so they will blend in
I think I'll leave the Q1 2200 in there till the sand clears then I need to find a smaller one because it's too big.
Thanks guys, Tim

might toss a piece of shrimp in there too... that stuff will settle faster if it has bacteria growing on it. If I read this correctly, its a new setup so getting that bacteria started is a good thing or one of those cycle starter products.
