Coral HELP!!!

I pick this coral up about 2 months ago and it's slowly getting worst. The skeleton areas are over grown with alg. What kind I do to help this thing regenerate? Don't know the name of it either but it was really beautiful and good looking with green center and red surrounds. Tried CoralRx and that seemed to slow down recession.

Get the alk and salinity verified at your lfs. It is usually a parameter or water quality issue, that your existing coral's have had time to slowly adapt to. [smilie=wink.gif]

Cheers,

just from looking at it .it seems the area that are facing down are doing best .kinda makes me think to much light

I did upgrade to LEDs however the coral was already bad. I have other plates, brains, and LPS and they are doing just fine.

Looks similar to my acan death. The skeleton at the base got gha growing on it, the coral receded, more gha, more recession, coral smothered. Gotta get that algae off. Peroxide bath mabye?
