Cleaning empty tank questions

I am cleaning my emty tank after moving. The tanks has been empty and dry for 4 months. I have scraped the glass clean but I am wondering about the dried/dead coraline on the overflow, sump, and equipment. Will it hurt the tank if it is not removed before I restart the tank or is it just a matter of if I think it looks bad? The reason I ask is because the razor wont get it off those items and I dont want to use any harsh cleaners since its about to go back in my tank.

Distilled white vinegar works wonders.

But will the old coraline and algae hurt the new tank or cause a cycle? I would prefer to leave it as I need the tank up and running asap.

It does not hurt tank, you can leave it. I have left them on old tanks before and didnot have any problems.

It won't hurt since it already dead, but to me I would rather just soak it in distilled vinegar and it will fall right off. Coraline will just grow back over it.

Worst that will happen is it will fake off but only if pretty thick and even then no problem.
