Cheap refudge light.

I am setting up a 60 G and I have about a 12x12 area for refudge in my sump. I've seen before there's a cheap homedepot or lowes option for lighting a small refudge. Can I get a few suggestions.

Get a cheap aluminum clip on reflector and use compact fluorescent bulbs in the 5,000-6,000K range. Very inexpensive and will grow macro algae well. You could also buy a Par38 bulb in the same Kelvin range, but they are more expensive.

I've used a 5100k par38 that was recommended by Marc and I switch it out every 6 months.

I went by home depot and I only saw 5 but they had different watts. How many watts should I get?

I purchased a 54w 38Par LED from Greenledhouse on Ebay. $28 and took abt 2 weeks to receive. Grows macro algae and frags very well.
