When they ban the cruise ships I will believe that they are really serious about the reef. Until then, this is an almost fact free article ginning up hysteria about global warming. I wonder how the reefs survived from back in the period around the 1500s when the seas were much warmer? And anyone who has been diving in the Caribbean knows the water temps do not climb up to 85-86 degrees and stay there. If you can let your tank go to that level and corals are fine why would it destroy the reefs. Have a fair amount of skepticism about all of this, including what it would cost to reduce greenhouse gases by a significant amount.
