Brooding Cardinals

I was taking down my 46g tank until I noticed yesterday that my
PJ cardinal looked like he had a mouthful of..... hmm... something.

I'm pretty sure I've got eggs being brooded by him. If this is the case,
I curious about following through with raising them "in tank". There are no other
fish in the tank anymore except the two PJ's. Will they eat their own fry if I let them stay in the tank?

Should I plan on using a net brooder later or moving them to another tank later or just let them grow up in the tank as is?

Thoughts on this anyone...

Thanks,

The parents will eat the young, so they will need to be separated. Plus, you will find it very hard to feed the young in your main tank, since you will need to feed them live BBS that they can easily get to.
