Bleaching or parasite?

A small white dot starter growing on the base of my acropora, and has been growing steadily for the last week. I haven't changed anything, and it has been in the same location for about four months. It was previously growing well with good polyp extension. Any thoughts?

It is really hard to tell anything from the pic but I do not see anything that screams pest. It also looks like STN (slow tissue necrosis) and not bleaching. What are you cal, alk, and mag levels? How do you keep these stable? What about others tank parameters you may have tested? Sps can be perfectly happy for a long time and a slip on one thing in the tank can cause STN, I've had a relatively hardy birds nest RTN (rapid vs slow) simply because I did too large of a water change.
