Anyone Used a Roller Mat?

This might be a long shot but has anyone here used the Theilling Roller Mat?  I think Reef Octopus is coming out with their version, too, soon.   It seems like a great idea (compared to filter socks, at least) but I'd like to hear how it works from someone who actually owns one.   Thanks.

Is that the box that has a roll of paper on it and the water flows over the paper and it rolls onto another roller to keep it rolling so it always has fresh paper ? If so I herd they work really good but they only have them for Big tanks and they were coming but not over here yet. That was last year. If so I was looking into one but as soon as I read they were only for huge tanks I stopped looking. I have a 240g  tank and it was to big for my tank.Do u have a link to share with us ?

Don't have one, but saw the one that Coralvue had at their booth at Macna.  It's very modular and can be used in a variety of configurations to suit the need and size of your tank.  I'm interested to see how they work from someone that has used one as well.  Looks like a great idea.

Here are two articles on the original Theilling product:https://reefs.com/2016/04/07/new-spin-mechanical-filtration-theiling-roller-mat/https://reefbuilders.com/2015/12/29/theiling-rollermat-video/ I haven't seen much about the upcoming CoralVue version other than it will come in two separate sizes and has the ability to mount on the side of a sump.

Yes that is it. Did u get one ? If so let us know how u like it and  how well it works. I liked what i saw. Thanks for the link.

I didn't order one yet.  I'm about to start making a new stand to fix some things I should've done differently on the first one and to add space for a second tank (possibly a display refugium?) so I'm still a little ways out from making the decision on whether or not I want to try it.
