Any Experience with Marine Betta?

Have my first tank up and running and rounding the two month mark. Still letting the mini cycles even out and won't be doing anything for quite a bit longer.

As I learn more about keeping a stable tank, and over time, I want to have an SPS dominant tank.

I want to have very few fish. One that I have looked at is a marine betta. Do y'all have any .02 on the subject?

Another fish I would like is the fu manchu lionfish.

Anyone have experience with these guys?

I am not sure why marine bettas are not more popular, I think they look great, I've read they can eat smaller fish, which is why I didn't get one, what size tank do you have?.
 
The betta is a pretty fish, check out this article on them. You should do fine with one.
