i thought it would be cool to set up a stickey on this forum with general info on keeping seehorses.

i am getting a new tank this weekend and would love to have seahorses in it but do not know the basics like...

temp:
salinity:
ph:
flow: (how much is too much)
lights: (would halide work so i can grow claims in the tank with them)
corals: (what is good or bad) (i figured stinging corals are out, but zoos,
sps's, some lps, softies?)

anyways how does that sound?

flow:
they are poor swimmers so no hard or direct streams

lights:
NO is fine, so depends on what you want to keep with them

corals:

as for clams:
the general consensus is no....

it is like follow the leader....jacob you are the leader today on the seahorses

and this is what my wife thinks :( ...more money :x

Unless they are dwarfs, I would suggest not.

Seahorses require about 2.5 to 3 times their uncurled length. for erectus, reidi and other larger species that is a min of 20" preferably a min of 24?.
