Pump and pipe cleaning

What does one soak their equipment in to clean? I can't remember the soln.

I use a 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water solution, and run the pump in it..

Depends on what it is.. if it's a powerhead that's encrusted w/ coraline, it may take a while to come clean. For return pumps, etc, I run them for an hour minimum.

Pure vinegar for me. I just soak because running a Tunze 6100 in a 5G bucket wouldn't be prettty!

yeah i have not deside if i wanted to run the pumps or not, i can just imagine shoting vinger across the room...
