Problem with protein skimmer

I have a nwb150 in one tank, everytime I do a water change or sock change, the skimmer goes nuts for about 2 days. I just don't run it.

However, on another tank, I run a 1000sss and it doesn't have this issue.

Anyone else run into these issues?

i normally shit my BKmini200 down while doing water changes.
For 2 days though, thats not right... when you say go nuts--- just over fills?
I had a unit before this one that would do that..
may be your salt mixture,, may be the water you use.. several possibilities.
Whats the parameters on the salt your putting in the tank? that may have a lot to do with it.
 
I have that issue with sock changes but usually only last about an hour. Also hows the rimless tank looking?

Right away i think water level is changing...
it may be right on the edge and a sock change is changing the pressure just enough ...

maybe try and put a sliver or 2 of egg crate under it next sock change and see if it changes...

I did research on the one i got from you .. and you had a platform built... but to optimal height on mine was like a 3 inch window.
