Anyone here using a plc system to control the tank. Instead of a premade controller?
Just thinking about slapping on a touchscreen hmi to a plc for my tank.
And wanted to know if anyone tried this.
Yes I know it costs more. But it's for fun right? Lol
I used to have a Rockwell automation plc I used to run an old reef tank of mine back in the day I think a SLC500 I used to write programs for there is alot more we can do with them than a premade system!
When I said touchscreen wife said go for it.
Then I showed her how big the set up would be, I got the "can that go in the garage?"
Now if I get the"sure put the tank in the wall"
I'm set lol
