Number of T5 bulbs needed

I have a 48x24x24 120 that I am trying to decide how many bulbs I need. The lights will be approx. 9 inches from the water surface. I have had 4 x 110 for 440watts from VHO's in the past that has done good. Just trying to figure how many T5's I need to get the same lighting.

You would need an 8 bulb HO fixture to compare in wattage, but I would think a 6 bulb would be plenty as well. What types of corals do you have/want?

Just softies & some lps, no sps in tank

6 will work. But for sps 8 would be best
