Hello all,

My name is Brian. I am new to the salt water aquarium world. I have only had freshwater and currently have a 60G African Cichlid tank set up. I have dabbed a little into sw previously by helping my brother (tshirtsbyjeff on the forum), but havent yet had my own setup. Yesterday, my wife suprised me by buying her aunts tank. It is a JBJ 28G Nano Cube with LED hood. I cannot wait to get it set up and running.

Right now I am just planning it out. Desiding if i want to go the route my brother went or not. He drilled his bio cube for a sump. Or if I just want to run it like it is.
 
Welcome to the hobby!

I have had a 20 gallon long set up for 3 years without a sump, but would really prefer having a sump. It really helps in a number of ways.

You are right it really does. I built a sump for my 60 gal cichlid tank. Haven't really had to touch it in a month, other than feeding.

I just don't know if i want to drill it and build a sump.
