Hi all, i got a ballast that instead of having the black, white, and green wires it has a brown, blue, and yellow w/ green stripe. does anyone know which one goes to the black and which one go to the white wire on the mogul?
Could you please post a picture of everything - all the wires on the ballast?
Is the cord normal, and there are three more for the mogul? If yes, then the brown and blue are the mogul, and the yellow/green is the ground wire to the reflector. However, I'd really prefer to see pictures before committing to that arrangement. Do you own a voltage meter?
Thanks Marc, here's two pics. well, i know that the blue and brown goes to the mogul, but just not sure which one goes with the black and which goes with the white.
That part doesn't matter. This isn't a/c to a motor or device -- you are lighting a bulb. They are interchangeable. You can try wiring it either way, and see for yourself.
