Macro Algae & Aeration Questions

I'm setting up a nano cube tank. Right now I'm cycling the water with some live rocks and sand. I plan to have a few fish and corals in it.

I'm reading about people converting the back area to grow macro algae. I want to check whether this is a good idea or not. It doesn't seem there is a lot of space to grow algae to make difference. People seems to prefer Chaeto (?). Let me know if there is a better algae.

I have a maxi jet pump. Should I add aeration to the return pump? I read conflicting information on aeration. I don't mind to see bubbles in the water.

What size and brand? I have a biocube 14 with cheato and caulerpa in the 2nd chamber. I have had a racquet ball size wad of cheato grow into a canteloupe size wad in a couple weeks, so I would say its pulling something out. I would not add aeration to the pump, personally. I don't think there's a need if you have adequate circulation.
