Little white circle things on everything - What are they?

[I have noticed that I have a whole bunch of these little white circles on everything, the glass, rocks, turbo snail shells, everything. I took a magnifying glass to get a close up and think I saw them moving and they have these little fiber things coming out one side. What are they? Are they good or bad? What do they do, eat, etc?

While looking closely at the above, I noticed some other interesting things in the tank... First, little see-thru "tubes" coming out from the rocks. They are less than a 1/4 inch and are clear (more hazy clear like). What are they, what do they do, etc?

Also saw some "grass" growing on the tops of 2 rocks. It looks just like grass. Again, what is it, is it good, what does it eat, etc.

Thanks everyone.

Dan]

[The small white circles are probably spirobid worms. They're harmless.

The tubes on the LR are probably feather dusters.

The grass is either GSP (green star polyps) or more likely, green hair algae (bad)

Marc has an ID section on his site if you want to compare pictures.]

[Sounds like your tank is "maturing".

Do a search for hair algae, should be easy to find a picture.
If its not that, its likley some kind of macro algae.]
