Lighting to grow macro algae?

I need lighting to grow macro algae...

would 1 watt LED lighting be enough to run a 14gallon tank of macro algae?

or should I look for higher Kelvin?

Actually, 6.5k - 7k is better for green macroalgae.

I don't know enough about LED lighting to be able to give an intelligent answer there.

I bet those Current Power Brites would be enough - in fact, I think I know of someone who uses them. I don't know that they come in 6700k form. But I'm quite certain the 10k would grow cheato just fine.

A simple gro-lux fluorescent from homedepot will work very well.
