4 skys would work. 36 is really deep so id imagine they would have to be run close to 100% to get enough par in the sandbed for a mixed reef

Check out Noopsyche lights. Me and my son run them on our tanks and I'm pleased for the price. If you are considering them, do some research first. Not sure how they would do on that deep of a tank. Several people on R2R run them so should be able to get some opinions from them.
