I have a 6 bulb T5 fixture over my 90 gallon tank. It sits in a wooden canopy and rests on strips of wood in the canopy. My problem is this makes working in the tank and changing bulbs a real chore. I have to take the fixture out completely to change a bulb (and always with a risk of dropping it in). I'd like to figure a way of incorporating the fixture into the lid part of the canopy. It weighs quite a bit so ideally I'd like to be able to have some kind of system where I can either leave it resting the way it is or hook it up so that it will go up with the lid.
I was hoping someone else has figured out some way of doing this-anyone have any "bright" ideas (pun intended)?
