LED Spectrum

I really like the color of the light in this tank although im assuming these are halides.. is it possible to achieve this same color with LED, and if so, what would be the color ratio of LEDs??

Judging by the color and shimmer I'm guessin those are metal halides with T5s. Likely in the 12k range. All LEDs are different. Not all cool whites are the same, so for ratio it's difficult to say. I'd go with a dimmable 50/50 split white to blue ratio. Make sure you can dim the blues and whites separately, then you'll be able to choose your color temp.

The lightning is 10 t5 54 watt, 4 blue, 6 white, HQI are 2 times 250 watt 13000K

Achieving a similar lighting with LEDs is possible, I'm just not sold on the long term survival using them. That and ud probably still need some T5 supplementation.

that's some serious power... matt i think you're right about the dim factor, this would help me adjust to hopefully come closest to this temp
