Today i bought a 24 inch led light It has 8 (1 watt leds) it has 600 lumens! And i bought a 30 inch coralife fixture with 10,000k daylight and a true atenic 03 blue lamps in it. I was wondering if this is enough light, it was kind of a impulse buy because it was the last one in stock and i got a discount. Before this i had a 2x65 coralife 24 inch fixture will this provide me the same as that. the tank is a 29 gallon and have lps only
 
Hi, i see you have alot of algae growing on your sand. Was that there before you changed the lights or since then? I think you will just have to monitor the corals to see if there happy or not. Maybe have to move some up higher based on that or not. How long are you leaving the lights on per day? Might also need a bit more flow if your growing algae on the sand, although its a new setup i believe. So that maybe just a normal cycle going on.
