just got my first coral and zoa

Congrats!

In my experience some grow at different rates than others, like different light & flow levels, so there are a number of variables that might be hard to predict. I do know that clean water makes a big difference--water changes always makes my softies (zoas, mushrooms, polys) open up. I do 1/3 to 1/2 water change of tank once a week, every 10 days at most.

Put it in low flow and leave it alone and I to think that softies grow better in not so new water I think that 1/3 to 1/2 tank is to big of a water change weekly I have a 250 and change 30 gallons every two weeks
