Icecap MH ballast help

I have a brand new (less than 1 week old) Hamilton 10k DE bulb. I came home Friday night to find out that it was not on. I have no idea what the problem is. It was working since Sunday when I hooked it up. I actually have 2 ballasts and neither one of them are lighting the bulb so I find it hard to believe the it is a ballast problem.

Is there any way to find out if the bulb is bad. I also assume that I could get an electrical tester and test the ballasts just to be sure they are okay.

Any help or advice is appreciated. I can't see spending $90 a week on a MH bulb... :lol:

I had exactly the same experience last week. The bulb fired on day one, wouldn't do anything but flicker then quit the next day.
I reseated the bulb in the fixture and it's worked fine ever since. Try the easy solution first. :)
