How to I repair this leather?

Devils hand leather coral is split on one side, and I'd like to stick it back together, if possible. What would be the best way? Will it ever grow back together, or is it best to leave it or sever it completely?

will hermit crabs do this? I think theyve become destructive lately, since there isnt much food in the tank anymore. (The fish are all in quarantine)

I'd say you've got a frag now. And you can feed your tank a little bit every few days so the corals aren't starved.

You can put the two corals near each other. Maybe it will grow together, maybe you'll end up with two nice colonies.

yeah just leave it alone it will be ok and repair itself. Wouldn't hurt to dose a little iodine in the aquairum

Make sure to blow it off from time to time to ensure it heals over and doesn't get infected. Other then that. I agree with marc
