help id item growing in my zoa's

I need some help in making an ID. I have some zoa's that have something growing around them. The items are very small, about 1/4" tall with what looks like a rusty yellow pom pom top. One head per stalk. Here is a pic. I'm hoping to find out if these things are okay, or if I need to look into plucking them. Thanks[attachment=0]item.jpg[/attachment]
 
thanks for the input. The little buggers are colonial Hydroids. I have moved the zoa plug to a QT and will try killing them off. I did find one that had moved from the zoa plug onto my live rock. I buried the thing under a big pile of Aiptasia-X, and it was gone tube and all the next morning. Now I have to look at that area every day to make sure I got it all.
