Not sure how to ask this ... It is for the refugium. The planted algae is in an area that is in inches 16x5 with a depth of 13 inches on a 3 inch miracle mud bed.
Currently using a 24W CFL clamp light. I have 3 of them, but only using one. This does not seem sufficient for my Ulva -- The Chaeto is fine. I am thinking of getting a 12,000K LED fixture that will cover the entire grow area at the following par values ... 12 inches = 350 and 6 inches = 670. It has intensity control.
Will the LED be better?
Is anyone using a LED in the fuge?
Thanks in advance!
