Fragging SPS ??

I have never fragged sps.
When i cut a branch off, is there a certain spot like under a side branch or at the bottom of the limb that is better to cut or just anywhere is ok. After cutting is there anything i should do to the exposed area? Or do you cut mount and let it be? TIA Jesse

With SPS (not LPS), you can cut wherever you want. As long as the water parameters in your tank are good (and stable) that cut area will heal over quickly.

I prefer to cut where you don't see it, such as the back side of the coral. Also, I try to cut where it is easy to avoid breaking it into multiple pieces.
