faster propagation of zoos

I had been told on several occasions that feeding zoos phyto helped to speed up propagation a bit. But a guy on another forum said "The phyto was actually unnecessary and useless. The polyps can't eat it because it's too small." and that it was a "Common mistake, Only tunicates, clams and other mollusks, dusters, sponges, zooplankton, some invert larvae, maybe some gorgonians and dendroneptheas."

Not sure what to believe... Is there some sort of special small plankton I can feed my zoos? At a loss...

thanks

It should be noted that most zos don't eat cyclopeeze. Palyothea do but true zoanthids won't. Phyto helps only in an indirect way that it raises the bacteria, zooplankton, and nutrient levels in the water which is what the theory is they feed on.

I feed brine and mysis shrimp and only toss in the cyclops eeze to keep the fish busy while I feed the shrimp to the zoos.
