ETSS ReefDevil skimmer ??

I picked up a used one of these today and wandering
at what level those that have one set the water level
in the collection tube at. Right know I have it
running about half way.

That is what I would have thought, but when I run it
it that high it starts leaking out where the injector cap
goes into the downdraft tube. I picked this up used
but I do not think there is a o-ring or something that
goes there. I've set them up when I was doing
service and do not remember there being any thing
there.

Are you running the skimmer in water that just about covers the black box ?

What size pump are you using ?

I'm running it external, mag 7 for the pump.
Plenty of free flow out of it, the out pipe
is above the sump and the same size pipe
all the way into the sump without 90s.
I can fix it with a rubber collar.

Every bit of the skimmer is above the sump.

This skimmer was used for a few months in
a sump before the person I got it from had
to move.

But I tell you what every part of
this thing that has a glue joint leaks. This does
not say much for the quality of there product
to me, very displeased with it. I now have
to take it down, get the joints all dried out
and reglue the entire thing to get it water
tight.
