emerald crab eat mandarinfish

i had a target mandarinfish and i have not seen him for a while could my rather large emerald crabs have ate him

on a side note when the target was added he was eating prepared food and my tank is a 150 with a 30 gallon sump with about 200 lbs of rock so i dont think pods would have been a problem.i had only seen him in my tank for about five days
 
If this was a recently added fish, there's a good chance he was too far gone by the time you got him for anything to have helped him...

I'll never say never, but I don't think an Emerald Mithrax would kill a Mandarin, but if the fish was already dead or nearly dead, all bets are off...
 
I've had a coral banded shrimp kill one, but I would have to see it first hand to believe an Emerald could do it. They're not known for their speed or hunting ability.
 
yea thats what i was thinking, I just wanted to throw that idea out there.

Does anyone know a good source to get a mandarin in the north dallas area,i might get another one in a month or two
