Cultured clams...let see them!

Post pics of your cultured clams! I dont care what kind.

I have noticed that nearly all the cultured maximas (maybe all maximas...I dont know) I see look the same. I personally prefer croceas. It's rare for me to see a clam that really blows me away. Even when I do it's usually only the top view that does it for me.

They all REALLY look the same through glass.

I bought a few ultra maximas that were cultured at ORA and I must say these guys do not disappoint! WOW! One of them is the prettiest clam I think I've ever seen. He's itty bitty but awesome! They make my other clams look DULL and I am pretty picky when choosing clams! Even through the glass they are awesome! Wish I had a photobox!

I don't have any clams yet but am in the market. Any suggestions for a rookie clammer! Still doing research on types and sized etc.

Those are beautiful little guys. I'd like to get a few, but like you, I'm very picky. I once saw a three-some in the Diver's Den on Live Aquaria, and if I knew for sure those were the three I would have gotten, they would have been ordered and now in my tank.
