CO2 Cylinder questions

So the inspection is good for five years. If you take your tank to a place that does exchange and it has expired, do they charge you? I just took all four of my tanks somewhere and they have all expired. It's going to cost no small sum of money to have them inspected and filled.

I don't know about CO2 tanks, but if you have an expired scuba tank - they have to inspect it before they fill it. It may be the same. There is a place in Dallas that does scuba tank hydro inspections. i can get the name of the place for you if you want. They may also do regular tank hydros (other gases). It is not a scuba shop - it is the place all the scuba shops send their tanks too. Pretty good prices too from what I remember.

I suggest going to either a Home Depot or Lowes that do exchanges. Make sure to verify that the location has CO2 before heading out as not all locations handle CO2.
