Cloudy water...carbon reactor or UV

So i have recently upgraded from my 120 to a 210 reef tank. In the month and a half the new system has been running (using the existing rock and water from the previous tank) I have formed a pretty good bacteria bloom which is causing cloudy water. Now researching this I see people recommend Carbon reactors and US sterilizers but i know there are downsides to both of those. I previously tried a carbon reactor on my 120 and the Tangs suffered what appeared to be HLLE. With a UV will I harm copepods and beneficial bacteria? Those who have tried these methods, what is your experience?

out I have both but I only run by UV when my blue lights are on and my carbon reactor is only on when my white lights are on so I don't Run Full timr

Well I just bought a UV today so Im going to give that a try. I plan on running it 24/7 for the first week then only at night so I leave stuff for my corals to eat
