okay, this morning my carpet anomone looked to be expelling waste I think. It was brown chunky stuff. Then this evening he looked all withered up. We have had him for 3 days. Is he dying?
Nope. They shrink up really really really small when they "poop". He'll puff back up when he's done.
You'll feed him, he'll eat it, he'll do it again and shrink no worries!

Worry when he turns himself inside out and 'melts' as someone here mentioned. My LTA is 10" across when fully extended and he compacts down to 2" when he's digesting / expelling waste. I'd scrunch up, too if I didn't have any bones and I had to go really bad Mine expands and contracts as much as once a day if he happens to get a bite of the other fishes' food.
