brown slime on acan

hi so the past couple days i have been dealing with brown slime on my acan. been syphoning it off the coral daily but today my coral was just engulfed with the slime. did some research on it. some people said use iodine dip while others said it was a gonner. would like to know if iodine would help or should i just toss it
 
Brown Jelly Disease is serious stuff. You can try dipping it in something to stop the damage, and blow off the slime in a separate container so it doesn't get on anything else in your tank. I had a chalice suffer from this a few months ago, but even after TLC it ended up not making it. It can't hurt to try, as you might get lucky and save some of it.
